Metal Clan's name comes from their pelts, not their territory. They actually live in one of the richer parts of the forest, which makes them confident, arrogant even. They get winter late and spring early. The biggest problem their territory has is the occasional dry spells, but then they simply slip over the boarder to drink from the river in Reed Clan's lush territory.

On the northern border, most of the trees are coniferous, but they slowly change into deciduous trees the farther north one travels. The whole territory has thick shrubbery, with paths worn through it from the larger animals that tread there, most the deers, raccoons, foxes, and occasionally wolves.

Throughout the territory, there are large boulders in the most random of places. These are where the cats go to sun. The clan actually chose to live in a large field of the boulders. The boulders are stacked and leaning against each other. Every day, apprentices must check for loose rocks and places the rocks might shift to warn the clan.

In the center of the mound of rocks, there is a large open area and then a giant boulder. This is where the clan gathers, though most of the clan sleeps in or on the boulders around it. There is a large crack on one side of the rock and that is where the medicine cat den is. The nursery is on the edge of the inner clearing, where a several large bushes have grown and the clan has woven them to make them water proof.



General story:
Like Fire, Earth, and Reed Clans, Metal clan is preparing for Leafbare. Their medicine cat, Steelpelt recently made a prophesy that has many of the cats worried. With no apprentices in the den, the younger warriors have all started helping out with the elders and the fathers and new grandparents help with the nursery.
Unlike any other clan, Metal clan raises their apprentices in 'pairs' though pairs are encouraged to not become mates. Recently, a pair died, one of them on the battle field and the other in the medicine cat den.
Another feline died, but she and her partner were young, fresh warriors, so he managed to survive.

Prophesy:
Rock of Fire shall Warm the Night's Stars, and Metal shall Soften.
This prophesy was taken to mean that if Fireclan's warriors so much as cross their borders, their own clan would starve. Because of that, they are even harsher with their patrols on that border.



His father, Dapplefur (known as Sharpclaw then), brought two kits into the camp one day. The tom said simply that the mother didn't want to make herself known. Out of respect for him, there was no gossip and the kittens were raised by another she-cat. Dapplefur became a medicine cat shortly after that. Blackstar(kit/paw/gaze) and his sister Hollownight(kit/paw) were instantly a partnership. The two learned fast and soon became successful. No one was surprised when Hazeldew(star) named Blackgaze his deputy after his own partner died. When he retired, Blackstar took control of the clan and made Hollownight deputy. Though the clan openly supports him, there is obvious dislike towards Hollownight, though it is no clear why.

1. You must start out with one of the premade cats. Once you have 'adopted' one, you may make one of your own. For each original character you make, you must adopt another premade cat until they all have RPers.
   
2. You must follow the Site rules as well as standard RolePlay rules. Failure to follow this will result in posts being ignored.
   ** Standard RolePlay Rules include, but are not limit to: No Mary or Gary Sue's, No Powerplaying, No Godmoding, No killing without permission, Etc
   
3. Follow the posting guidelines, appearance guidelines, and other information given on this post. The only reason your cat should not fit the requirements is if you messaged me about it and we worked out some sort of agreement.
   
4. This is a realistic roleplay in actions. This means:
   ** No giving your cat powers
   ** No killing an entire flock of birds or a deer. (A single cat can only kill a squirrels or large rabbits on their own.)
   ** No senseless drama (A cat wouldn't kill him/herself because no one wanted to talk to them.)
   ** Logical fights: a she-cat described as small can't beat a tom described as large.
   
5. No spamming and no bumping. There is a posting order typed out below. Follow it.
   ** The only reason you should is if I give you permission by posting on your wall for you to go ahead and post.
   ** Skipping someone's turn is not allowed without my permission or theirs and I must receive notice that they gave you permission.

• Each post must be a paragraph long, per character. This a bare minimum of four sentence per character. Longer post are encouraged. There is no limit to how long your posts can or should be.
  
• Move the plot ahead with each post. Do not type a whole paragraph moving it forward, especially if there is a conversation goig on, but remember to take gradual steps forward so that time doesn't stand still.
  
• When posting as more than once character, be certain that each change in point of view is obvious. This is recommended by marking it with the name underlined or in brackets. You may do it however you like, so long as it is clear.
  
• Spelling and grammar should be checked. Small mistakes are passable, but if you think that there are many errors, copy and paste your text to a program that has word checker. There are several different ones online.
  
• Writer's block is understandable, but do not use this as an excuse every time.

• The usual colors for this clan are gray, black, and white. Tortoiseshells are rare.
  
• The normal eye colors for this clan are green and gold. Black is rare.
  
• Most cats have long tails and short fur.
  
• The cats are lithe, but strong boned.

1. Defend your clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with other cats, but your loyalty must remain to your clan.
   
2. Do not hunt or trespass on other Clan’s territories.
   
3. Elders, Queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentice may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
   
4. Pray is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to MoonClan for its life.
   
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
   
6. Newly appointed warriors must keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
   
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
   
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
   
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
   
10. A gathering of all four clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among clans at this time.
    
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassers.
    
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
    
13. The word of the clan leader is law.
    
14. An honorable warrior doesn’t need to kill other cats to win his battle, unless it is necessary for self-defense.
    
15. A true warrior rejects the soft ways of kitty-pet life.
