From the north, three siblings came to the forest. They weren’t the first cats there, but they were quick to establish their territory. There was one tom and two she-cats. The tom was stronger than any other that had ever been in the forest before. His pelt was a dark gray with white streaks over his shoulders and flashing blue eyes. One of the she-cats was known for her speed, running faster than any other cat. Her pelt was black, except for her left forepaw that was white. Her sister’s build was identical, but her pelt was white with a black forepaw. The white sister wasn’t known for anything, but her sharp mind and vicious tongue.

The three started out with only a small area in the very edge of the forest, but not a moon went by that they didn’t claim more territory as their own. It came to the point that they had fought other cats off so much land that they couldn’t defend it all. So then, they started accepting others. The purpose of the white she-cat became known as more cats joined. She was a healer, the first the forest had seen. She taught her skills to all who asked, regardless of if they were part of her families clan or not. The three siblings formed the first of the four clans: Reed Clan.



ReedClan’s name comes from their territory, because they live in a marshy part of the forest. There are quite a few dry patches where hunting is good for mice, shrews, and voles, but most of the clan lives off of the fish that swim through the marsh. The clan camp is on a island in the middle of the marsh. The leader’s den is in an old badger den that goes down to rock. The medicine cat den is under a fern bush that is against a large tree. The apprentice den is next to it and it is made from ferns as well, though it doesn’t have the support of the tree. Next is the warrior den, which is a hard bush with moss growing under it. Between the apprentice den and warrior den is the camp entrance. The elder’s den is on the far side of the tree that the medicine cat den is against. It is made from bramble. The nursery is made from woven reeds and is water tight. The barrier around the camp is trees woven together by queens.



General story:
The Reedclan is trying to prepare for leafbare and keep their territory safe. Two new arrivals (Valleymist and Frostpaw) are making thing a little difficult, but the clan should overcome that.
Most cats in this clan are orange, brown, or black.

Born to the clan leader and raised in Reed Clan, Wickerstar was expected to become something great, especially after his brother became medicine cat apprentice. Struggling to keep up with him, Wickerstar (Wickerpaw at that time) worked hard and became the youngest warrior seen in a moon (Wickerclaw). It didn’t take long for him to become deputy and then leader.

1. You must start out with an apprentice. After you make your apprentice, you can create another cat if you like.
   
2. You must follow the Site rules as well as standard RolePlay rules. Failure to follow this will result in posts being ignored.
   ** Standard RolePlay Rules include, but are not limit to: No Mary or Gary Sue's, No Powerplaying, No Godmoding, No killing without permission, Etc
   
3. Follow the posting guidelines, appearance guidelines, and other information given on this post. The only reason your cat should not fit the requirements is if you messaged me about it and we worked out some sort of agreement.
   
4. This is a realistic roleplay in actions. This means:
   ** No giving your cat powers
   ** No killing an entire flock of birds or a deer. (A single cat can only kill a squirrels or large rabbits on their own.)
   ** No senseless drama (A cat wouldn't kill him/herself because no one wanted to talk to them.)
   ** Logical fights: a she-cat described as small can't beat a tom described as large.
   
5. No spamming and no bumping. There is a posting order typed out below. Follow it.
   ** The only reason you should is if I give you permission by posting on your wall for you to go ahead and post.
   ** Skipping someone's turn is not allowed without my permission or theirs and I must receive notice that they gave you permission.

• Each post must be a paragraph long, per character. This a bare minimum of four sentence per character. Longer post are encouraged. There is no limit to how long your posts can or should be.
  
• Move the plot ahead with each post. Do not type a whole paragraph moving it forward, especially if there is a conversation goig on, but remember to take gradual steps forward so that time doesn't stand still.
  
• When posting as more than once character, be certain that each change in point of view is obvious. This is recommended by marking it with the name underlined or in brackets. You may do it however you like, so long as it is clear.
  
• Spelling and grammar should be checked. Small mistakes are passable, but if you think that there are many errors, copy and paste your text to a program that has word checker. There are several different ones online.
  
• Writer's block is understandable, but do not use this as an excuse every time.

• The usual colors for this clan are black, gray, orange, and brown. Calicos are rare.
  
• The normal eye colors for this clan are blue and green. Gold is rare.
  
• Most cats have long tails and long fur.

1. Defend your clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with other cats, but your loyalty must remain to your clan.
   
2. Do not hunt or trespass on other Clan’s territories.
   
3. Elders, Queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentice may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
   
4. Pray is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to MoonClan for its life.
   
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
   
6. Newly appointed warriors must keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
   
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
   
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
   
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
   
10. A gathering of all four clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among clans at this time.
    
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassers.
    
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
    
13. The word of the clan leader is law.
    
14. An honorable warrior doesn’t need to kill other cats to win his battle, unless it is necessary for self-defense.
    
15. A true warrior rejects the soft ways of kitty-pet life.

Mistpaw yawned and stretched. The apprentice den felt snug with six of them in there, yet she had a feeling that five cats would have made it seem too big and seven would make it seem too small. The balance seemed just right. Her mismatch eyes blinked slowly as she looked around again.

Two of her liter-mates were sleeping not far from her. They had been made apprentices just the day before. It was still a shock to her, but she couldn't say that she was unhappy. In fact, she was flat out elated to be a part of the clan now, not just another mouth for them to feed.

Stifling a yawn, she slipped out of the den and into the clearing. It was early, so early that the dawn patrol hadn't yet stirred. That gave Mistpaw a peaceful feeling, like she was alone in the world.

Sandpaw slumbered on, unaware of her denmate stirring. She had been an apprentice for a while now, with her beloved sister Dustpaw. All she wanted to do was rest from yesterday's hunts and patrols. If this was how hard it was to be an apprentice, she was almost afraid of becoming a warrior.

Yet, it was fun. Everyday as she went out with her mentor, the unusual Valleymist, Sandpaw felt as if she was learning something new. Everything seemed so much more exciting, especially with Valleymist pointing it out with her unique point of view. It made Sandpaw feel special.

Valleymist yawned and stretched. She was in the medicine cat den. The wound below her eye was acting up again, not that she really needed a reason to visit with her best friend. Shineleaf had just gotten pack from gathering some rare herb or another and Valleymist had been her escort. The two she-cats sat in comfortable silence while Shineleaf sorted through her new collections.

Ravenpaw snuggled closer to the warmth at her side; her mind slowly coming out of the sleep-induced fog some called dreamland. A yawn escaped her muzzle as she shifted, her eyes opening slightly in time to see a tail disappear into the clearing. A small smile touched Ravenpaw as she laid her muzzle on her paws in front of her. Her mind slowly reentering dreamland. A dream that involved hunting, making her mentor proud of her, managing to catch the dream as she fell asleep.
