Rory shifted on the soft fabric sheets of his mattress, moaning as his alarm went off once more. He didn’t feel like going to the coffee shop, even if he had too. Huffing, he pushed himself up on the bed, shivering as cold air brushed against his bare torso. Pausing, he breathed in before pushing off the bed and making a dash for the bathroom where the heater was always on during the winter for days like today.

He leaned against the bathroom door and closed his eyes for a moment before forcing himself into the shower. He turned the water on, yelping when ice hit his skin. He quickly adjusted the temperature, now fully awake, and started to clean himself. He hummed an old folklore he had heard as a child, only stepping out of the shower when the song was finished. He wrapped a huge fuzzy robe around himself as he stepped to the sink. He finished his morning routine and headed out the door.

It took him less than 20 minutes to arrive at work. He quickly hung his outerwear in his area and stepped out into the business of the work world. Customers were calling for him in the morning rush. Sometimes it sucked being one of only three waiters in the small coffee shop. Rory did love the smell of coffee and the added sweet smell of pastries only made working here more bearable.

Rory leaned against the counter as he waited for an order to fill when he spotted a lone neko. Quickly taking the order to the right table, he stopped by the neko.

“What can I get you?” He asked a smile on his face as he brushed a strand of hair behind his ear.

Blake awoke in his cardboard box. His back was stiff. Placing his palms on the small of his back, he stretched to relieve the pain. As it cracked, he shook his whole body. He walked out of the alley, checking his neck for his stolen collar. He'd been a stray for over 10 years now. He used to live in a foster home with other Nekos and Inus, which is where he discovered his hate for Inus and lake of trust for everyone else. He stuffed his hands into the pockets of his jeans and walked down the street. He sniffed his shirt. His nose turned up at the smell. He stank something terrible. Time to steal more clothes.

He walked down the street, ignoring the responses from people he would pass. Some loved him, while others despised his presence. He made his way to the department store and started looking around for a nice outfit. When he finally found what he had wanted, he wandered into a dressing room. Removing his filthy clothes, he dumped them on the ground. He put on the new clothes, ripping off the trackers and tags. He had become a specialist at removing magnetized protectors. He walked out of the dressing room and right out through the main door. Nobody had any suspicions.

Feeling better about himself, he started heading towards his favorite cafe. Blake knew there was a blind bum who always sat on the corner. People would put money in his cup. Blake would always reach in, drop some dimes, so the bum could hear he was contributing, but then snatch all the dollar bills that stuck out. He tucked the money into his pocket quickly and headed into the building. He sat down at his usual table, staring out at the people in the streets.

He turned as he heard a small voice behind his head. He smiled at the human, fake of course. "Vanilla latte and a blueberry muffin please?" he asked and then turned his head to look outside.

Rory pouted as he wrote down the order. He wasn't used to being ignored as such. He turned and walked back behind the counter.

"Hey, Dave, I need a blueberry muffin!" Rory shouted through the little window as he began making the vanilla latte. Sighing out of boredom, he turned and grabbed the neko's order and walked over towards him. "A vanilla latte and blueberry muffin, here you are. If you need anything else please feel free to wave me over. Ick that tasted horrible. What the hell did I just say? Eww, eww, eww.....oh sorry, I'm babbling. I'll leave now."

Rory went into the men's bathroom and banged his head off the wall once, wincing in pain as he did so.

'You sounded like a deranged fool, Rory. Nice job, how are you supposed to get a girlfriend....or ......boyfriend?'

The white haired Neko looked outside the window, until he heard the male leave his side. As the male left, he could smell his scent. It was sweet and inviting. Blake watched as the human made his coffee and got the muffin. Before the human made his way back to the Neko, Blake returned his view to the outdoors. When he heard the stumbling of the other's voice, he smiled and turned around to face him. "Don't worry about it. I would be a little shocked if I were talking to such a handsome Neko like myself." He chuckled a little at his own joke. He grabbed Rory's arm tenderly. "Please, don't leave. Thank you for getting my food." He looked down at the drink and muffin, then his eyes went back to Rory. His smile was warm and tender, much different than the hard look he normally showed the world.

Rory looked down at the hand on his arm, a small smile playing on his lips. "Alright, I won't." Rory sat across from the neko, smoothing his uniform into place. "My name's Rory. I've seen you around here a couple of times. Do you like the view or coffee more?"

Blake smiled as he looked at Rory. "I'm Blake," he said as he held out his hand. "It's nice to meet such a friendly human." He looked out the window for a second then back to Rory, taking a taste of his coffee. "I think I prefer the sounds, sights and smells more than anything else. It's relaxing being here."

"Nice to meet you Blake." He said as he shook hands with the neko. He looked out the window, admiring the view he often took for granted. "It is beautiful, isn't it? I suppose it's relaxing, unless your here almost everyday to work."

"I have been coming here every day for months now. I never get tired of everything." He looked at Rory with a smile. "So if you don't like being here, why not do something different? Or better?"

"I need money before I can actually do anything. I do acting on the side though." Rory shifted so his head was propped up on his folded hands. "What about you? Does your master have you do any work?

Blake picked up the muffin and quickly mumbled into it. "I don't have one..." He looked at Rory and then took another bite of his muffin. He then looked outside the window, staring at the people walking by, not a care in the world. But he had tons of cares. When he was going to eat next, if he was going to shower, how would he get new clothes?

Rory watched as the other took a bite out of the muffin, not hearing the mumbled words. When the other didn't answer his question, he nodded his head awkwardly. He knew some neko's disliked their masters. He turned his gaze onto the clock and wondered if he should go back to work and leave the customer to his peace. "Well, I'll let you eat in peace then. It was very nice to meet you, Blake."

"Wait!" Blake called as he turned and placed his arm on Rory's wrist. "When do you get off? Do you have any plans after work?" A light smile was on his face as his as his golden eyes stared into Rory's eyes.

"I get off at four, which is in about two and a half hours. No, no plans." Rory couldn't really remember if he had anything planned or not with those eyes staring into his. He was pretty sure he didn't and it wouldn't be the first time he had ditched either his family or what little friends. He would gladly do it for the neko, though he wouldn't do anything since he belonged to another.

Blake smiled, "would you like to do something? Maybe go to dinner? Talk a little more? You are the nicest human I have met by far."His smile was warm and inviting.

"Dinner sounds nice, but is it really alright with your master?" Rory really didn't feel like being sued for having a nice time with someone else's neko. "You know what, how about we go to my place to have dinner that way we won't have to worry about if your master is going to walk in."

Blake smiled and nodded his head up and down. "That sounds amazing! I could even do some cooking for you." He looked around the shop and ate more of his muffin. "I will meet you up here at 4?"

"Alright, I'll meet you here at four." Rory smiled before turning to return to work. Rory returned back to the counter, setting down the tray for a moment before returning back to work. Through out the rest of his work time, Rory's gaze would stray to that corner, but he managed to do his work correctly if not a little distractedly. Finally, his shift ended. Heaving a sigh of relief, he rushed to the back and grabbed his things. He put his necklace back on and walked out to the table. "Ready?"

Blake smiled and nodded his head, grabbing his coffee and muffin. He walked out of the building, occupying himself for hours before he came back at around 3:50pm. He entered the building and smiled at Rory. "Yeah, ready when you are."

"It's only a ten minute walk." He said as he lead the way from the cafe and through the streets to his home. (I already explained what it looked like on the other RP)

He opened the door and sighed, "This is my humble home. Whose making dinner again?"

He walked into the kitchen and set his keys on the table. His home was small and he loved it anyway.

Blake smiled as he walked alongside him. He looked around them, watching the others look at them and then quickly away. As they got to the house, he walked right in. It seemed that he belonged there. He moved the hair from his eyes as he peered around the little home. There wasn't much furniture, but that made sense to Blake. Rory lived alone. He walked through the house and then straight to the kitchen. He looked around with a big smile. "I told you I would be cooking for you!" He quickly headed to the fridge and started throwing stuff together.

Rory just nodded, telling the other were everything was. He simply watched the white blonde haired male, not bothering to deny the attraction he felt. He wasn't stupid though. Blake belonged to somebody else, and bedding someone else's neko always led to trouble.

"Are you any good at cooking?" He questioned lightly, walking over to pull the wine he had out of the cabinet. "Wine?"

Blake smiled as he grabbed all the supplies he would need. He looked over at Rory with a sly smile. "Can I cook? That's like asking if a fish can swim. He went straight to cooking, his tail swishing from side to side. As the wine question was asked, he slowly turned to face the other and smiled while removing his collar, "yes".

Rory laughed at the sarcasm in the other's voice as he moved to grab the wine glasses from the cabinet. He glance over at Blake and smiled as he poured the wine, careful as not to spill any. He should probably mention his alcohol tolerance level wasn't high, but then nothing was going to happen. Well, at least he hoped. Perhaps getting drunk with some stranger wasn't the best idea, and he was someone else's neko to boot.

He walked over to Blake, making sure to stay out of the way, and handed him the wine glass with a "here."
